St. Patrick's Day is coming soon and we have a fun and easy activity that you can do with your kids!
St. Patrick's Day is all focused on LUCK! So, let's get our kids to think about things in their life that make them feel lucky and blessed. Sometimes there is so much negativity in our world, it will be nice to get them to focus on some positives!
Materials Needed:
Shamrock Files (download below)
Crayons, Markers, Colored Pencils (whatever your child loves to use)
Scissors
Glue Stick
Start out by downloading the files at the link below:
Once you have the files downloaded, have your child color the stem with the words "I am lucky" and the whole picture that is just the shamrock leaves. (I recommend not letting them color the whole shamrock with the stem so you can read what is written on the leaves.)
Next, it is time to cut. If your child is able to cut it out themselves, give them those scissors! If they are too young, go ahead and cut it out for them. Cut out both pages along the solid lines.
Now, it is time to glue!! You will want to place the glue INSIDE of the dotted lines on the clover with the stem. Then line up the shamrock leaves and place them on top of the file with the stem.
The last step is to carefully fold down the colored leaves so that you can read what is written below. Fold them back until you see the dotted lines and then you can crease the paper. Don't forget to include your child's name and the year on the back so you can keep this for years and remember what made your child feel lucky when they were this age.
