We got these for our guy when he was ten months old. We have been teaching him sign since birth. We have been using these without the word pieces. Now that he is 23 months, he will see the sign on the chip, sign it, and say it. He can also match the sign I sign, to the chip. Highly recommended! This toy can easily be used at many stages.
So, let me start by saying I LOVE all things Bannor Toys! And this matching game really isn’t any different. The downside for me is that I have to have this listing photo handy to know what half of the words are. It would have been awesome to maybe include a card with the game that had a photo or card of what each sign meant. That would make it easier for my kids to learn and play.
Beautifully crafted toys!!
ASL Words Matching Game
I have the Gathre mat with the ASL for letters. I was in love with the idea of other ASL sayings were created with this launch. When I opened the package and it was just adorable and practical to what happens in everyday language. The cheat sheet help was perfect. I know I am going to need reminders.
ASL was my language in college so I have always done basic signs with my kids. I was beyond excited to see this set as a way to further integrate signs. My husband has also really enjoyed learning them and playing the matching with our 3.5yo! Our 10mo tries to eat them but we are showing them to him as well. Great for home schooling right now too!
