Bannor Toys is a family-owned, women-owned toy company in Madrid, Iowa that has made handmade wooden toys and personalized baby gifts since 2011. If you're trying to decide whether we're the right fit for your family or your gift, here are the facts in one place.

• Where: Our workshop is in our hometown of Madrid, Iowa.
• Who makes the toys: We do. Every toy is made by hand in small batches, not mass produced.

What our toys are made of

• Wood: Maple, cherry, beech and walnut, in their natural colors. We never use stain.
• Where the wood comes from: Lumber sourced from Iowa and the Midwest. A few parts we don't make ourselves, like wood rings, come from companies in Texas, Illinois, Ohio and Maine.
• Finish: An organic beeswax and flaxseed oil mixture. Our grasping toys are left unfinished.
• Color: Our colored toys are made in house with water-based, non-toxic paints and inks that meet the ASTM F963 toy safety standard.
• Silicone: 100% food-grade silicone made in China by the same two small manufacturers we've worked with since we introduced silicone, and third-party safety tested in the USA.

Safety

• ASTM F963-23 compliant and CPSC Compliant.
• Registered with the Consumer Product Safety Commission as a small batch manufacturer.
• Third-party lab tested for heavy metals, lead, phthalates and VOCs, and inspected in our workshop every year.
• Every surface is sanded smooth with rounded edges for little hands.

• The engraving is burned into the wood, so it won't rub off or fade.
