Nativity and Christian Christmas toy FAQs
Is the wooden nativity set safe for toddlers?
Yes. It's rated 0+, CPSC Compliant, and the pieces are 2" to 8" solid hardwood with rounded, sanded edges and a food-safe beeswax + flaxseed finish. There's no paint and nothing to shatter.
What comes in the nativity set?
Mary, Joseph and Baby Jesus, three Wise Men, a shepherd, an angel, a camel, cow, donkey and lamb, plus a stable: 13 pieces plus the stable, in a cloth storage bag.
Where is it made?
In our family workshop in Madrid, Iowa, from cherry, maple and walnut. We've been making wooden toys here since 2011.
How does it compare to other kids' nativity sets?
We compared it side by side with HABA, Melissa & Doug and Little People in The Best Wooden Nativity Sets Kids Can Actually Play With.
What's a good Christian Christmas gift for a baby?
A heart or star rattle engraved with baby's name and baptism date is the most popular, followed by the nativity set for the family to grow into.
Can I personalize these?
The rattles, teethers, name blocks and stocking tags can be engraved with a name, two words or a date. The nativity set, matching game and Advent calendar are not personalized.
When should I order for Christmas?
Orders process in 1–4 business days. Order by Tuesday, December 15 to ship before the USPS holiday cutoff.
