Welcome to the Bannor Toys Website, we are sincerely glad that you're here. Be sure to read the letters from Jesse and Stacey at the bottom along with the history of Bannor Toys. In case you don't have time for all that today, here are the important details you will want to know about our company:
-All of our wooden toys are crafted here in the USA, even our small parts, paints, and packaging! -None of our woods are stained! Organic wood, paint, and finish, yes I said organic paint. -We are small but mighty, we follow and exceed all US safety standards -Bannor Toys believes in open ended and educational play -Our toys craftsmanship is guaranteed forever, FOREVER! -Play it safe, always provide your child with adult supervision during play time
Jesse started out in their small basement workshop building toys for the kids in Stacey's in-home daycare. They were both discouraged with all the plastic and cheaply made toys breaking or the kids becoming bored with them shortly after buying them. When they first jumped online via Etsy in 2011 they quickly outgrew the basement and moved into a small building (think 2 car garage size). In early 2012 Jesse quit his corporate job to focus on Bannor Toys full time. That is where they honed their skills and started learning about how to build a business in addition to great toys. Things grew quickly as word spread about the quality hand made toys and they moved into the current shop/office space in 2013. By mid year both Jesse and Stacey were working full time at Bannor Toys. 2014 and 2015 have been phenomenal years of growth and exposure for the company. Bannor Toys has been featured on Cool Mom Picks, Disney Baby, Babble, Martha Stewart, and so many more.
A Letter from Jesse
What a fun and fulfilling ride the last few years have been! I used to work for a very large mortgage company, where I was envious of the grounds keeping crew that I could see from my window. I wanted to be free from my office and work with my hands doing something that had meaning to me. When I first started building toys, it was just a way to unwind at the end of the day. What a great opportunity I have now to craft toys with a team of great people. It brings a sincere sense of satisfaction when our customers email us and tag us with pictures of their little ones playing with our toys. We have been blessed to be able to work for ourselves full time these last few years, but more than just a steady paycheck, I feel like we are having a positive influence on so many lives and on the environment around us. We are taking a renewable resource and making into something that is fun, educational, and safe for little ones around the world. We also now have the opportunity to support charities and other small businesses. You all have taken notice of our efforts and for that I thank you. Without not only your purchases, but also your willingness to share our company with your friends and family, we would not be where we are today. Thank you so much for being apart of our family.
A Letter from Stacey
I've had a lot of jobs in my 33 years; from being a live in nanny to working in a flower shop, for a cruise line, in a hotel, a bank, a medical office...I've done a lot of things and never really known what I wanted to do. The day Jesse cut out the first wooden truck for my daycare kids something changed. We had no idea this little company we started in our basement would turn into what it is today! Owning a company that is able to impact so many things is the only job I've ever been passionate about, and it has become so much more than just a job. I don't mind the late nights at the workshop after the kids go to bed, or sitting at the computer working on listings until 2 am; this company makes me happy. You, our customers, make me happy. I love getting to interact with you all on social media and through email, I am both humbled and proud to see each and every photo we get tagged in, you all have let our family business become a part of your children's stories and for that we are incredibly blessed and grateful. We are able to donate toys, time, and money to charities because of this little company we started in our basement.
